Collections Lead

Global Brand – Fashion/Footwear is seeking to hire a Collections and Credit Manager / Director. Full Time Position with a company that is growing and has never ever had 1 layoff. IPO coming. Base Salary – $100-130K , 30% Bonus, Full Benefits, 30-40 PTO, 401k w. match no vest, etc. This position will be a remote first based role but you will be needed to come to the California (Novato) office as required by the business. Although this might be rare, it is expected that you will live within commutable distance. Company is looking to separate this area of Collections/Credit from the rest of the Finance/Accounting Department. Need someone that understands that even though you’re collecting money from these partners, they are directly impacting your revenue by selling your product. Need someone who can get things done while maintain strong relationships with the wholesale partners. This person will also be responsible for vetting out new potential partners. Screening these companies financially, reputations etc., The Credit and Collections Manager is charged with the responsibility for the effective administration Accounts Receivable and Credit Collection policy. The incumbent assures credit and collection strategy to maximize cash flow and minimize financial risk. Broadly defined, this responsibility includes the development of the credit policy through recommended tasks and standards. Responsible for establishing customer credit terms and limits, and maintaining the policy by making suggested adjustments due to changes in business conditions or specific circumstances. Constant monitoring and awareness of customer’s accounts is essential, as well as outside monetary events whether they impact a customer, a group of customers, a country, or domestic and foreign markets. At all times, the emphasis must be on cash collections and the proper application of funds to the customer base. In addition, this position will interface with other Departments to ensure that the latest actions affecting a customer are known.
