Facility Maintenance Assistant

POSITION We are looking to hire a full-time facility maintenance assistant to help be responsible for keeping our facility running at all times.

As a successful candidate, you will routinely perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, HVAC, and other building systems.

You will be assisting our facilities superintendent and ensuring all assignments are properly completed and meet proper standards of safety, cleanliness, and function.

To excel in this role, you must work well independently and have extreme attention to detail.

Previous laborer/maintenance experience is strongly desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES Perform routine maintenance on building systems to inspect for needed repairs Install, repair, and maintain working conditions of equipment and machines Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed Troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions Assist with the general upkeep of the facilitie Follow all health and safety regulations pertaining to work.

Performs other related duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of general carpentry and repair Ability to use hand tools and power tools Ability to follow instructions from supervisors Prioritize and complete assigned work on time with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

MEP experience a preferred HVAC experience a plus Having your own set of tools is a plus Prior experience either in machine repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Be able to stand for extended periods of time Use hand dexterity for extended periods of time Be able to squat, kneel, twist, and bend comfortably Must be able to access and navigate each department at the facility Be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably Due to Covid-19, we are doing everything we can to keep our team and customers safe.

This means individual offices or widely spaced workstations.

We also provide extra masks, shields, hand sanitizer, and gloves as needed.
